Our lifestyle brand was founded and created by Alexzandra Denis. She was born in Brooklyn to West Indian parents from St.Vincent and Haiti. Alexzandra attended CUNY Borough of Manhattan College and received an Associates of Applied Science in Business Management and Finance. She then moved on to receive her Bachelor of Administration degree from CUNY Baruch in Corporate Communications and minor in English. Alexzandra had a 10 year career in Fashion doing product development, working for brands such as Perry Ellis, Jones of New York and Calvin Klein PVH.
She realized the luxury market was limited when it came to affordable and all natural products so she created Avalah in 2018. Our main focus is to provide customers a spa like experience along with the peace of mind to know the natural materials are taken from the Earth.
We have uniquely classic scents that are unisex.Our skincare products use a combination of shea butter, coconut oil and Himalayan sea salt to eliminate dullness, add moisture and improve vibrancy to the skin. Our hair products use the finest oils such as Argan, Jojoba, Jamaican Black Castor and Almond. Our product line includes Body Oil, Hair Oil, Body Butter, Beard Balm, Beard Oil and Soy Wax Candles.
The brand since being started in 2018 has garnered recognition in publications such as Cosmo Magazine, Sheen Magazine, Compulsive Magazine and African American Golfer's Digest. The company in January 2021 moved to their first office space in the Gowanus, Brooklyn.
In 2022 Avalah has graced News12, Shoutout LA and IMM magazine. During this year they have entered into the hospitality and travel industry having their products sold at 4 star hotel, The William Vale and at Laguardia and JFK airport.
The company strives to have a physical location in 2023 so that they can create experiences for their customers to enjoy their products and to bond as a community.
